Makeup from Korea Review

Having friends from other countries is awesome - you get to learn new cultures, new foods, new swear words, and of course, get to sample some awesome new makeup from their home country!

Make Up from Korea

I received a couple of awesome products from my friend from Korea, and I am super excited to share them with you!

Etude House eyeshadow

First off is the Etude House eyeshadow in OR203. Etude House is apparently the first make up brand in Korea, and you can read more about them here. The eyeshadow comes in a really pretty embossed case, and the colour is really vibrant!

Laneige eye pencil

Next, the Laneige eye pencil. This is a chubby pencil with two different highlighting colours on each end - one matt and one shimmer. The colours are really good at lifting brows, but I couldn't capture the colour of the shimmer side too well on the photo :(

Laneige shimmer eye shadow

The Laneige shimmer eyeshadow is awesome! I love a bit of glitter, and this adds just the perfect amount of shine to any look. I like how you can just dip your eyeshadow brush in the pot to get the product out - I hate spilling glitter everywhere!

So many freckles!

Finally the two BB creams - Missha and Atom. Korea is known for its BB creams, so I was really excited to try these out! The Atom one (blue and white tube) has SPF 30 and is made for all types of skin. Unfortunately I found this one to be a bit too light for me, but I mix it with other BB creams to get the perfect colour. The Missha one is SPF 25, and the colour is a perfect match. Both have quite good coverage, especially when finished off with some powder.

Unfortunately none of these products are available in South Africa (as far as I know!), so you better befriend a Korean and ask them very nicely to get some for you :)
